lifting a J10 (or any leaf spring vehicle)

 pictures are not in order...
(recommend getting new spring pads, U-bolts for the axles and shackle bolts (if you remove the main leaf- NOT recommended).
It is best not to reuse any of those parts for safety reasons, especially in rust prone regions)

AMSOIL MP was used to loosen and clean threads before nuts were removed. If really rusted a propane torch and some
brake fluid will work - be careful to control the flames, brake fluid will burn.

AMSOIL Synthetic Grease was used to coat the springs, pads and contact areas. Wipe off excess.
This will help reduce rust and friction. The grease will displace water and help with spring movement and flex.
